Mixo · Legal
Terms of Use
Effective September 24, 2026
Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern your use of Mixo, a fragrance blending application operated by Charles Pareto. By downloading or using Mixo, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be legally permitted to use Mixo and capable of entering into this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use Mixo.
Accounts
Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, threaten the service, or create legal or security risk.
Your content
You retain the rights you have in blends, names, ratings, feedback, and other content you submit. You grant Mixo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, analyze, moderate, and distribute that content as reasonably needed to operate, improve, and promote Mixo. Content you choose to publish may be visible to other users.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and grant this license. Do not submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, privacy-invasive, malicious, or unsafe content, and do not impersonate others, scrape the service, bypass security controls, or interfere with Mixo's operation.
Community conduct and prohibited activity
You must use Mixo respectfully and lawfully. Do not use Mixo to engage in or promote illegal activity, harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, hate speech, targeted abuse, fraud, or the disclosure of another person’s private information without permission. Do not post content that is unlawful, sexually exploitative, discriminatory, or otherwise abusive or harmful to others. These rules apply to profiles, blend names, reviews, comments, submissions, reports, support communications, and other activity on Mixo. Conduct outside Mixo may also be considered when it directly targets Mixo users or staff in connection with the service or creates a credible safety or security risk to the Mixo community. Honest reviews, respectful disagreement, and good-faith complaints do not violate these rules merely because they are negative or critical.
Fragrance and safety disclaimer
Fragrance information, performance scores, ratios, harmony scores, wear-test analysis, and AI explanations are informational estimates, not medical, dermatological, allergy, or safety advice. Follow each product's label and manufacturer instructions, use appropriate patch-testing practices, avoid eyes and broken skin, and seek qualified professional advice for allergies, reactions, or other health concerns.
AI and scoring disclaimer
AI-assisted explanations and algorithmic scores may be incomplete, incorrect, stale, or uncertain. They do not guarantee that a blend will smell, perform, or wear as predicted. You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to use a suggestion.
Mixo+ subscriptions
Mixo may offer auto-renewing Mixo+ Monthly and Mixo+ Annual subscriptions that unlock premium services such as advanced blend optimization, personal wear-test analytics, and AI-assisted collection scanning. The exact price, billing period, trial availability, and included features shown in the App Store or purchase screen at the time of purchase control.
Mixo+ is a digital service, not a physical product. Following successful payment verification, eligible premium access is associated with your Mixo account and available on the website and supported iPhone app when you sign in to that same account. Access may take a short time to synchronize. Contact support@mixoblends.com if payment succeeds but access does not appear. You do not need separate subscriptions for web and iPhone access; purchasing through a different provider does not transfer or automatically cancel an existing subscription.
If a free trial or promotion is offered, its duration, eligibility, renewal price, and cancellation terms will be disclosed before purchase. A trial converts to the disclosed paid subscription unless canceled in time. We will provide notices and obtain consent for changes when required by applicable law or the relevant payment provider.
Website payments and automatic renewal
Website Mixo+ subscriptions are sold by Charles Pareto, operating Mixo, with payment processing provided by Stripe. The selected plan, currency, amount, billing interval, and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you confirm payment. A monthly plan is billed each month and an annual plan is billed each year; an annual plan is not a monthly installment plan.
By confirming a website subscription with the recurring-payment authorization presented at checkout, you authorize Mixo, through Stripe, to charge your selected payment method for the initial purchase and each subsequent billing period until you cancel automatic renewal. Stripe may retain your payment method for these authorized recurring charges. Renewal charges use the agreed plan price and applicable taxes, subject to any advance notice and consent required for changes. We send transactional confirmations for purchases and paid renewals to the email associated with your Mixo account.
Keep your account and payment information current. If a payment cannot be collected, the payment processor may retry it and premium access may be interrupted or end. A pending or failed payment is not confirmation of renewed access. Contact support@mixoblends.com about unexpected, duplicate, or unauthorized charges.
Canceling or resuming website renewal
You can turn off automatic renewal online from Account → Mixo+ → Website subscription management → Cancel renewal. Cancel before your next renewal is processed to avoid the next charge. If you cannot access these controls, contact support@mixoblends.com for assistance. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally takes effect at the end of your already-paid period; access continues through that period unless it ends for another reason permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
Turning renewal off does not itself refund a completed charge. While your subscription remains eligible, Resume renewal turns future automatic billing back on; it is not itself a new purchase or immediate charge. We send confirmation when website renewal is turned off or back on. Uninstalling the app or signing out does not cancel billing. Before deleting your account, use the subscription cancellation controls and confirm the result.
Website refund policy and consumer rights
Website Mixo+ subscription purchases and renewal charges are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. We do not provide prorated refunds or credits for unused time, partial billing periods, or choosing not to use the service. Cancel automatic renewal to prevent future charges.
This policy does not exclude or limit any mandatory right to withdraw from a purchase, obtain a refund or other remedy for a defective or undelivered service, or dispute an unauthorized or incorrect charge. Where applicable consumer law provides additional rights, those rights prevail. Contact support@mixoblends.com to request a legally required refund or report a billing error. Do not send full card numbers or security codes.
Apple App Store purchases
Apple processes purchases made through the iPhone app's Apple purchase flow. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Unless canceled, the subscription renews automatically for the same billing period at the price shown by Apple, subject to required notice and consent. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings, following the cancellation deadline shown by Apple. Deleting Mixo or your Mixo account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
The website no-refunds policy does not replace Apple's applicable refund policies or mandatory consumer rights for App Store purchases. Request App Store refunds through Apple's refund process. You may restore eligible Apple purchases from within Mixo. Website subscription controls do not manage Apple billing, and Apple subscription controls do not manage website billing.
Service changes and availability
We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that Mixo will always be available or error-free. If a change materially affects a paid service, we will act consistently with applicable law and App Store requirements.
Intellectual property
Mixo's branding, software, interfaces, and original materials are owned by or licensed to Charles Pareto and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not give you ownership of Mixo or permission to use Mixo branding except as necessary to use the service.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mixo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Charles Pareto and Mixo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or use arising from Mixo.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of these provisions may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
Termination and account deletion
Mixo may remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend access, or permanently terminate and delete an account if we reasonably determine that the account violates these Terms, engages in the prohibited conduct described above, or creates a safety, security, or legal risk. In making that decision, we may consider the seriousness of the conduct, its context, and repeated violations. We may act immediately and without advance notice where reasonably necessary to prevent harm, address a serious violation, or comply with law. Any notice required by applicable law will be provided. You may contact support@mixoblends.com to ask for a review of a moderation decision. Do not create another account to evade a suspension or termination.
Account termination does not limit mandatory consumer rights or any refund required by law. Subscription cancellation and refunds remain subject to the subscription sections of these Terms; deleting or terminating an account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Information may be retained or deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, including shared catalog contributions and records needed for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
You may stop using Mixo at any time and may delete your account through the in-app Delete Account flow. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including content licenses already needed to operate public or de-identified content, ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law—will survive.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in California will have jurisdiction over disputes, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence remain unaffected.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as Mixo changes. The revised Terms will be posted here with a new effective date, and material changes may receive additional notice. Questions about Mixo or these Terms may be sent to support@mixoblends.com.
